5/16/2023 0 Comments M1 chip lightroomI am about to head off around Australia with cameras and the MacBook plus my 130,000 image Lrc library on portable disks and this snag has me very concerned. But I am sure there are now many M1 chip users out there who can help me get this sorted. Seems this might be more a MacBook problem than a Lightroom fault. Photoshop Illustrator Lightroom Lightroom Classic Premiere Pro After Effects Adobe Audition Premiere Rush Adobe Bridge ColdFusion (2021 release) Update 5 ColdFusion (2018 release) Update 15 Captivate 11. I tried to bypass the direct import in Lightroom by importing from SD card to a folder in the MacBook but still no joy with the raw files not copying and even the 13mg jpegs taking a huge amount of time to download with a little clock next to each file showing the download progress and barely moving. The following apps run natively on Mac computers with Apple silicon. I have made sure that Lrc, Ps and Camera Raw are all updated to current and have been shocked to find that Lrc will not download my raw files from my Fuji XS10, a camera listed as compatible with Lrc. I have just replaced it with a very expensive 16" MacBook M1 Pro and am coming to grips with this with my LrC and Ps. Lightroom still struggles to accommodate Phase Ones enormous 151-megapixel raw files, but the new Mac handled it much better than my older machine. Sad, as I loved the big screen for editing. My 2011 i27 Mac finally showed its age and will no longer support the later OSs to run latest versions of Lrc.
